From June 23-29, the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea invited to a joint exhibition of pictures and posters with performances at the Topohaus Gallery in Insadong, Seoul.
One part of the exhibition was the poster exhibition “20 Years of German Unification” produced and sponsored by the Government-funded organisation devoted to the examination and reappraisal of the Communist dictatorship in East Germany, the federal ministry of foreign affairs and the Hertie Foundation.
In the other part, the exhibition “A long, long way” sponsored by the Korea Future Foundation, presented pictures and personal reports of life of North Korean defector youth and their families. All of them received help to integrate into life in South Korea by the 3.4 (SetNet)-School, where they receive the necessary education and assistance to eventually enroll as a normal student at a university, an apprentice etc. The students and graduates of the 3.4. School accompanied the exhibition for three days with a performance of poems, songs and free dance. Several sculptures were sold for a good purpose in the end.
