  20th anniversary of the Center for Korean Women and Politics (CKWP) – conference and visit of the President of the Parliament of the Free State of Bavaria, Barbara Stamm, and the Vice President of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Prof. Ursula Männle

The increased participation of women in the political process was the aim, when 20 years ago the Center for Korean Women and Politics (CKWP) was founded, one of the most important women organizations in the field in Korea. Since 1994 Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea cooperates with CKWP to train women politicians and, in particular, young women, in the last years with a focus on unification education. On June 15, 2010, the anniversary will be celebrated with a conference with the President of the Parliament of the Free State of Bavaria, Barbara Stamm, and the Vice President of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Prof. Ursula Männle, Member of the Parliament of the Free State of Bavaria, will be guest speakers. Both women politicians are here on invitation of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation to talk to representatives of government, Parliament and civil society as well as to give lectures at the Korean Institute for Public Administration (KIPA) and visit the partner province of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Gangwon province.
