  Hanns Seidel Foundation and PSCORE Information on Scholarships for Studies in Germany (April 22nd 2010)

On the 22nd of April the second quarterly get-together meeting of Hanns Seidel Foundation and PSCORE took place. The aim of this times event was to present scholarship and study opportunities in Germany to aspiring North and South Korean students.

The Guest speakers of the event were Prof. Dr. Jae-Seon So from Kyunghee University and President of Hannsi-Club, Michael Paulus and Dr. Rhee Ho-Kyeong of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Dr. Ingo Schöningh from the Goethe Institute, Dr. Dae-Kyung Kim from Kyunghee University and Dr. Joon-Won Hyun from Korea legislation Institute both members and beneficiaries from Hannsi Club.

Michael Paulus and Dr. Rhee Ho-Kyeong from DAAD presented his organization and explained the activities the students can benefit from. Furthermore he explained the scholarship possibilities and gave an insight into the application process.Dr. Ingo Schöningh of the Goethe Institute also presented his organization and gave an insight about offered language programs and cultural activities.

Finally Dr. Dae-Kyung Kim and Dr. Joon-Won Hyun gave some insights about their experiences from their university studies in Germany. They not only shared the positive experiences they made but also highlighted the differences of the education system between Korea and Germany.
