  Visit of the German Federal President Horst Köhler in Seoul – political briefing by the representative of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea

During the state visit of German Federal President Horst Köhler from February 7th to 10th, 2010, the good German-Korean relations were further deepened. At the beginning of the visit a meeting of the President with German organizations in Korea took place, where the representative of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea, Dr. Bernhard Seliger, held a briefing on the political situation in South and North Korea. Afterwards, the President met with Korean President Lee Myung-Bak, who also invited to a state dinner in the Blue House (see photo). At the end of the visit, a reception for Germans living in Korea and Korean friends of Germany took place, where the Federal President confessed that he was deeply impressed by Koreans’ optimism in solving challenges and wished Korea luck for the reunification of the divided country.
