Already on February, 25, 2009, the governor of North Cheolla province, Wan-Ju Kim, signed a commendation for Dr. Bernhard Seliger, representative of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea, for his merits for friendship between Germany and North Cheolla province as well as the development of the province. Now the commendation ceremony was held by Director-General Dr. June-Bae Park of the Environmental Agency of North Cheolla province. Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea has a long history of partnership and cooperation with the Community Development Institute under president Sang-Hwi Lee, with joint classes and fora on local autonomy.
